課程概述 |
In this course, five important aspects of new product management are taught: 1. opportunity identification and selection, 2. concept generation, 3. concept/project evaluation, 4. development, and 5. launch. Furthermore, three important aspects of project management are taught: 1. basic core of knowledge needed in project management for the entire project life cycle, 2. supporting functions for the entire project life cycle, and 3. hard core of project management in different phases of project life cycle.
It is generally difficult to successfully manage a project in terms of time, cost, and performance simultaneously. Therefore, the second half of this course introduces the concepts, techniques, theories, and applications of project management. Both organizational behavior issues and quantitative methods are taught: Organization Strategy and Project Selection, Organizational Structure and Culture, Defining the Project, Estimating Project Times and Cost, Development of a Project Plan, Managing Risk, Scheduling Resources and Costs, Reducing Project Duration, Progress and Performance Measurement, Project Closure. Project management is becoming increasingly important. Mastery of project management could make you competitive in the job market. |
